Hideo Kojima: Kojima Productions’ New Game Is Like New Media
Speaking with The Guardian, Hideo Kojima gave a brief detail about one of his upcoming projects.
“It’s almost like new media,” Kojima said. “If this works, it will change things – not just in the gaming industry, but also in the film industry.”
“You can make a successful experiment, but it’s a long way from the experiment to the point where it becomes part of everyday use,” Kojima added.
The game described by Kojima is likely Overdose, one of the two games currently in development at Kojima Productions. The second is Death Stranding 2.
In June 2022, Kojima appeared at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 to reveal that he was working with Xbox Game Studios to make a game that he had wanted to make for a while but was previously unable to do so due to technological limitations.
Recently, actor Elle Fanning has been confirmed to appear in Kojima’s new game. Kojima also teased the second woman who will appear in the game with another dark image that reads “Where Am I?”.
