Sony Interactive Entertainment seems to have confirmed that Final Fantasy XVI will be exclusive for 6 months on PS5 before its release to other platforms.

Sony: Final Fantasy XVI Exclusive for 6 Months on PS5
According to the “PlayStation 5 – Play Like Never Before” trailer uploaded by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Final Fantasy XVI will be exclusively available on PS5 for at least 6 months.
Final Fantasy XVI makes a brief appearance in the trailer accompanied by the text, “Final Fantasy XVI anticipated Summer 2023. PS5 exclusive for six months”. Unfortunately, it’s still unclear which platforms will be available for the game after the exclusivity period ends.
In 2020, Square Enix officially announced Final Fantasy XVI with a trailer that mentioned a PC version, but this reference was removed after Gematsu requested confirmation.
Final Fantasy XVI will release on PS5 in the summer of 2023. If this information is true, then the PC version will most likely release in 2024.
