First announced in early August 2022, SAMURAI MAIDEN is an Action RPG game that focuses on the Musou (1 vs 1000) combat system like Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors game. What makes this game special is that instead of taking on the role of Korean historical figures, you take on the role of a Japanese schoolgirl trapped in an Isekai world filled with demons and evil magic.
D3 Publishing Announces SAMURAI MAIDEN Release Date
In a report obtained via the official blog page, Shade Studios, the developer of this game, has just announced the release date of SAMURAI MAIDEN. As seen, the game is scheduled to launch on December 1, 2022. Along with the announcement, many interesting details were also released, accompanied by a new gameplay trailer.
SAMURAI MAIDEN follows the story of a high school student who falls asleep after a boring day of history lessons, waking up alongside historical figure, Nobunaga Oda, known as Japan’s first great unifier. They both find themselves in the burning Honnoji Temple, where the underworld has opened up. After training in swordsmanship, Tsumugi was immediately tested in actual combat against demons.

On their journey, players can use the “Gokage System” which allows for a quick combination of Tsumugi’s sword style and The Gokage’s powerful ninjutsu. With this feature, you can unlock many new and more complex attack combos through the skill tree that you can improve. Of course, there will also be other characters ready to accompany the protagonist’s journey.
For those of you who can’t wait, SAMURAI MAIDEN will reportedly be released on December 1, 2022. The game has been confirmed to launch on PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
