Kingdom Hearts IV Headed to Nintendo’s New Console?
Notorious game leaker @MbKKssTBhz5, commonly known as Midori, has shared new information about one of Square Enix’s iconic franchises. Midori is known for his claims about SEGA and ATLUS games, especially for the Persona franchise.
Corroborating information from RPG Site journalist James Galizio, Midori claimed that he had gotten some information regarding the Kingdom Hearts franchise in February 2024.
According to Midori, the Steam version of the Kingdom Hearts franchise has been in development since the summer of 2023 and a company called BitGroove Inc. is developing Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link, known as “Project Fungor”.
Interestingly, Midori added that Kingdom Hearts IV has the internal name “Project Quattro” and will have some “small online features”. He also noted that the game looks “very different from the first trailer” shown in April 2022.
In addition, Midori claimed that Kingdom Hearts IV and the entire Kingdom Hearts franchise will “probably” be coming to Nintendo’s new console.
“More outside IP collaborations are planned for the Kingdom Hearts franchise in the future,” Midori wrote on X. He elaborated in a separate post that Fortnite and Kingdom Hearts will have some sort of collaboration.
Midori’s other interesting claim is that Square Enix is not developing Final Fantasy X Remake, but they are developing several Dragon Quest games (one of which is a mobile game) and Final Fantasy IX Remake.
