Dataminer has found a representative image that reveals the face of Ghost from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, but it seems that Simon “Ghost” Riley is not as impressive as his character and persona would lead players to believe.

Ghost is a mysterious character and has been hidden behind a mask since he first appeared in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009).

When dataminers discovered the real face of Ghost from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, players were disappointed as they saw that he wasn’t a rough-skinned, grey-haired man, but just a relatively plain, baby-faced guy.

The reason is simple: it’s because Simon “Ghost” Riley’s face is that of Samuel Roukin, the voice of Ghost in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Of course, you shouldn’t be disappointed, because this is how video game development has worked for the past few years.

Using motion capture and character scanning technology, the studios at Activision easily pull real-world actors into digital environments. In this case, Simon “Ghost” Riley is the digital embodiment of Samuel Roukin.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II can be played on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam, Battle.net).
