GTA VI Trailer Releases December 5, 2023
Referring to existing information, Rockstar Games as the developer announced that the first trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on December 5, 2023. From the announcement, it can be seen that Rockstar Games took the background with palm trees that are typical of the beach.
For your information, last July 2022 Bloomber reported that GTA VI has an internal name “Project Americas” and the game has a pair of main portagonists influenced by the Bonnie and Clyde story. Unlike previous GTA games, Rockstar Games is reportedly very careful not to “nudge” marginalized groups with jokes in GTA VI.
Previously, the initial plan for GTA VI was to make the game have a wider world than any GTA game. The initial design would also reportedly include North and South American map models. However, the main map of GTA VI has been truncated to a fictionalized version of Miami and its surrounding areas.
In September 2022, over an hour of GTA VI development footage was leaked onto the internet. The trailer confirmed that GTA VI would be set in Vice City (Miami) and feature a pair of main protagonists, a man and a woman.
When is the Release?
Back in March 2023, Tez2 claimed that GTA VI would most likely be announced in 2023 with an internal release date scheduled for 2024. Insider Gaming then created a report supporting the claim separately.
According to available information, GTA VI will indeed be released in 2024. However, a look at Rockstar Games’ gaming history shows that this game could be delayed until 2025. One of the main reasons for this delay is because GTA VI will only be released on the latest generation of consoles. That means it will only be available on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.
Meanwhile, back in August 2023, Staruss Zelnick (CEO of Take-Two Interactive) told GamesBeat that the company remains confident and is positioning their business to achieve their targets in fiscal year 2025 (April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025). This means, it is likely that the new GTA VI will be released in fiscal year 2025 according to Zelnick’s statement.
