Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ready to Hit Steam, Other Ubisoft Games to Follow

Eurogamer and The Verge report that Ubisoft’s PC games will be returning to Steam starting with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800, and Roller Champions.

All three games are currently available on PC through the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store. Ubisoft’s last game on Steam was Starlink: Battle for Atlas which was released on 30 April 2019.

Below is the official statement from Ubisoft:

We are constantly evaluating how to bring our games to different audiences wherever they are while providing a consistent player ecosystem through Ubisoft Connect. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800, and Roller Champions are some of the Ubisoft titles that will be released on Steam.

According to The Verge, Ubisoft declined to say whether that means they will now regularly bring their games to Steam or whether it will be on a case-by-case basis. But they clarified that Ubisoft “never terminated our relationship with Valve”.

Ubisoft also added that they don’t have any updates on whether they will be working with Valve in verifying these games for Steam Deck.

In November 2021, Pavel Djundik reported that Ubisoft Connect was detected on SteamDB. The launcher appears in the Steam’s default package in depot number 1716751.

In December 2021, Gamedaim was informed by a private source that not only Ubisoft Connect, but Ubisoft games would also be coming back to Steam, but the date of arrival was not given.
