3 More SEGA Classics Coming Back?

Insider Gaming reports that 10 classic SEGA games have been approved for development during the 2020-2021 period.

Of those 10 games, 5 of them were already announced at The Game Awards 2023:

  • Jet Set Radio
  • Shinobi
  • Golden Axe
  • Streets of Rage
  • Crazy Taxi

Now, Insider Gaming adds that the other 3 games that SEGA has yet to announce are:

  • Panzer Dragoon
  • Neon Genesis Evangelion
  • Sakura Taisen

Insider Gaming says that there is a good chance that from the 10 games approved by SEGA in the 2020-2021 period, the number will start to grow again. This is assumed from trademark findings by Gematsu in December 2023.

In December 2023, Gematsu discovered several trademarks filed by SEGA:

  • Alex Kidd
  • After Burner
  • House of the Dead
  • Outrun
  • Super Monkey Ball
  • Altered Beast
  • Eternal Champions
  • Kid Chameleon
