New Xbox games to increase in price by 2023?

IGN reports that by 2023, games made for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, including Forza Motorsport, Redfall, and Starfield, will cost 70 USD at launch.

These prices reflect the content, scale and technical complexity of these titles. Like all games developed by our team on Xbox, these games will also be available with Game Pass on the same day they launch.

In October 2022, Phil Spencer said at the WSJ Tech Live 2022 event about the pricing of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S along with the prospect of charging 70 USD for Xbox games.

Before Microsoft, several companies such as Sony Interactive Entertainment, Ubisoft, and Take-Two Interactive have announced a 70 USD price point for their specific games.

As to whether there is a possibility of price increases for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in the future, Microsoft declined to comment to IGN.
