Resident Evil 5 has received a new update on Steam. Along with some smaller bug fixes, this update also adds local split-screen co-op after almost 14 years. This feature is native to all console versions but is missing on the PC version.

In addition, this update has also removed the Games for Windows Live requirement, something that has been a problem for many players over the years.

Needless to say, this update came as quite a surprise to many Resident Evil 5 players. You can see the players’ discussion on the Steam forums.

Resident Evil 5 is already available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC (Steam).
