Skull and Bones Delayed to 2024, Star Wars Outlaws Too?

Ubisoft has revealed that it is delaying Skull and Bones until Q4 2023 and a “big game” previously planned for release in March 2024.

Although Ubisoft did not specifically name the game, it is generally believed that the game refers to Star Wars Outlaws.

The outstanding performance in Q2 and the positive momentum of Ubisoft’s current brands builds confidence for the rest of the year. The company was therefore able to confirm its already announced guidance of strong top line growth and non-IFRS operating income of around €400 million, without releasing another major game that was originally planned to launch in the last quarter of the current fiscal year. The company has decided to launch this other major game in FY2024-25, to maximize its value creation.

In June 2023, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment had announced that Star Wars Outlaws would launch on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC in 2024. Kotaku then reported that the game is scheduled for release in March 2024.

This is in line with Ubisoft’s recent statement that Star Wars Outlaws is indeed the game in question.

Specifically for Skull and Bones, the game is experiencing its seventh delay after the game was postponed to March 2024. Skull and Bones will release on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC (Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store).
