SEGA: First Super Game to Release in March 2026

In May 2021, the publisher announced the Super Game project that would span several “AAA titles that cross SEGA’s comprehensive range of technologies” and “go beyond the traditional gaming framework”.

In November 2021, SEGA said it would consider investing up to 882 million US billion over the next 5 years.

2 years later, SEGA has now provided an update on the first game from the Super Game project.

“The Entertainment content business has set a long-term goal of becoming a leading global content provider,” Sugino said.

“To achieve that goal and take our business to the next level, we are conducting R&D activities to create a ‘Super Game’, a large-scale global title, in the fiscal year ending March 2026.”

“We are also making steady progress in the development of ‘Super Games’ that we intend to create in the medium and long term. As the name implies, ‘Super Game’ involves game concepts that are above ordinary games,” added SEGA’s co-COO, Shuji Utsumi.
