Sonic Heroes Remake Under Consideration?
Universo Nintendo reports that SEGA is developing a remake version of Sonic Heroes using Unreal Engine 5.
According to Universo Nintendo, the remake version will be released on Nintendo’s new console, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC (Steam).
Universe Nintendo’s report was initially supported by @MbKKssTBhz5 (aka Midori), a proven SEGA and ATLUS game leaker. However, Midori clarified that the remake version was being “considered”.
“I don’t know about this remake title that will be released in the next 3 years and I have no information about it,” Midori added.
Midori also separately claimed that SEGA wants to experiment with their games through Unreal Engine 5, but internal engines such as Dragon Engine and Hedgehog Engine 2 will still be used in future development.
Midori gave examples of how the remake versions of Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi will use Unreal Engine 5.
Released in 2003, Sonic Heroes was available on GameCube, PS2, Xbox, and PC.
