Has the Prototype of Crash Bandicoot Wumpa League Leaked?
Prototype gameplay for Crash Bandicoot Wumpa League, the long-rumored multiplayer brawler in the Crash Bandicoot universe, has leaked online. Rumors about the existence of this game surfaced when it was accidentally leaked by Windows Central.
According to Liam Robertson, the prototype he uploaded was described as “of historical interest”. A short gameplay trailer is shown along with some concept art.
Robertson reiterates throughout the video that the footage shown is from a very early version of the project and that it is “not representative of what the game will look like if it releases”.
Robertson said that Crash Bandicoot Wumpa League is a team-based online game where the objective is to collect as many wumpa fruits as possible. Characters from Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time and some other characters from the franchise, such as Ripper Roo, are planned to be present in the game.

“The builds you see are very clearly years old and again not representative of what the game would look like if released,” Robertson said.
According to Robertson, he has seen newer images of the game that look “much more complete”. He also seems to note that the prototype is very different from what is currently being developed, although he believes it will be released “in some form”.
