Nintendo Shareholder Meeting Disrupted by Splatoon 3 Fans

@NStyles reports that during a Nintendo shareholder meeting Q&A session, someone came forward to loudly rant about the preferential treatment of female characters in Splatoon 3 in terms of customization options.

According to @NStyles, the fan was unhappy with the number of customization options available for male characters in Splatoon 3, including hairstyles and emotes, compared to those available for female characters.

The rant reportedly continued for some time and led to Shuntaro Furukawa interrupting the fan and saying that the question was too long. This was reportedly ignored and the fan’s rant continued.

Eventually, the fan stopped and Furukawa reportedly replied: “Thank you for your interest in playing our game. We appreciate your valuable opinions.”

After the incident, @Haruikatako identified himself on Twitter as the person who asked the question. According to the user, he specifically purchased ¥512,000 worth of Nintendo stock in order to attend the shareholder meeting and air his grievances.
