Monster Hunter Rise is Set to Hit PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, and Xbox One
Monster Hunter Rise is the latest sequel in the action RPG franchise and takes players to Kamura Village, a colorful and serene setting that attracts visitors with its unique culture and innovative hunting technology.
The core gameplay experience in Monster Hunter Rise stays true to previous Monster Hunter sequels. Hunters must equip their armor and choose from one of 14 different weapon types to overcome fearsome enemies. As players defeat monsters and progress through the game, items carved from fallen enemies can be used to craft unique weapons and armor that increase their chances of survival. Hunters can tackle these challenges solo, or with up to three other hunters in cooperative online games.
Monster Hunter Rise expands on the franchise by introducing some new and exciting mechanics for hunters to master. Wire-based grappling action can be performed using the “Wirebug” while standing or in the air, adding a new level of aerial maneuverability to hunting and attack strategies.
In addition, the game features the “Wyvern Riding” technique that allows players to temporarily take control of monsters and produce spectacular battle sequences during the hunt.

Monster Hunter Rise also introduces new hunting partners called Palamutes, personalized and rideable “Canyne” companions that provide players with a new set of attack options. The Palamute “Canyne” companions join the franchise’s favorite Palico “Felyne” in assisting players while hunting.
Monster Hunter Rise will be released to PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, and Xbox One on January 20, 2023. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
After Monster Hunter Rise’s debut on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, players can look forward to the Sunbreak expansion in spring 2023.
Monster Hunter Rise is already available on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).
