Answering IGN’s questions regarding the use of AI technology in their games, miHoYo has revealed that Honkai: Star Rail uses this technology to improve the facial appearance and behavioral patterns of characters, as well as enhance the immersive gaming experience with a more realistic representation overall.

MiHoYo added that there are some areas in Honkai: Star Rail that are not ready to be touched by AI, especially content scripts.
With that said, we also found that the current application of AI is still limited. It is more like a ‘cherry on top’ technique to complement what we already have, rather than fundamentally solving problems from the ground up. We will focus on the [impact] and development of AI, figuring out more robust implementations in the future.

In the same interview, IGN also asked about upcoming content plans for Honkai: Star Rail. MiHoYo didn’t provide too many new details, but they did confirm that Honkai: Star Rail is a long-term game with “eternal plans and goals” like Genshin Impact.
MiHoYo also confirmed that they have no “concrete updates regarding other platforms” for Honkai: Star Rail, especially Xbox and Nintendo platforms.
Honkai: Star Rail is already out on iOS, Android, and PC. The PS5 and PS4 versions still have no release date.
