Dead Island 2 Delayed to April 2023, Why?
Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios have delayed Dead Island 2 from its planned February 3, 2023, to April 28, 2023.
Below is the official statement regarding the delay of Dead Island 2:
We have some important news to share, so let’s rip right into it. We delayed Dead Island 2 – the new release date is 28 April 2023.
The irony of Dead Island 2’s delay is not lost on us and we’re just as disappointed as you are. The delay is only 12 short weeks and development is in its final stages; we will take the time we need to ensure we can launch a game we are proud of. For those of you who have been waiting for years, thank you for sticking with us.
In the meantime, we’ll be releasing exciting new trailers and gameplay at The Dead Island 2 Showcase which will premiere on December 6 on our Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as on the Dead Island website.

Dead Island 2 is confirmed to release for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC (Epic Games Store) on 28 April 2023.
