Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Fortnite: A Step-by-Step Guide

In some cases, Fortnite account theft does occur due to a handful of people with malicious intent. For this reason, Epic Games as a developer Fortnite has prepared several handling steps, one of which is by providing 2FA or Two-Factor Authentication.

Enabling 2FA itself is one of the recommendations from Epic Games. They ask all players to activate this feature so that their account security increases again.

Why is it important to enable 2FA?

Here are some compelling reasons why you should definitely consider enabling two-factor authentication (2FA):

  • Enhanced Security: By enabling 2FA, you significantly bolster the security of your account. Even if someone manages to guess your password, they won’t be able to gain access without the additional authentication step.
  • Free Games: The Epic Games Store offers a range of exciting free games, but some of them can only be claimed if you have 2FA enabled. Don’t miss out on these awesome gaming opportunities!
  • Gifting: If you’re an avid Fortnite player, you’ll know how fun it is to send gifts to your friends. However, to engage in this delightful act of generosity, 2FA is a requirement. So, enable it and spread the joy!
  • Fortnite Competitions: Are you a competitive Fortnite player? If so, participating in thrilling events like the Fortnite World Cup requires 2FA. Don’t let this security measure hold you back from showcasing your skills on the grand stage!

As a testament to our commitment to account security, we also offer rewards to players who enable 2FA. Curious about what these rewards entail? Check them out here.
