Konami to Hold Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship in 2023

Konami Digital Entertainment Limited (KONAMI) has announced its plans to organize the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2023, is a prestigious international tournament to determine the world’s top-ranked Duelists in three categories.

Following the global events of the past few years, this tournament will mark the first time the tournament has been held since 2019. Currently, KONAMI is planning to hold the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2023 in August in Japan.

KONAMI plans for the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2023 to feature three separate tournaments consisting of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game (OCG), Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS, and Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL.

Details regarding the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship qualifying rounds will be announced through the official Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game website and social media channels as well as through in-game notifications.

Along with the tournament announcement, KONAMI also announced the airing of a special promotional trailer for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game 25th Anniversary project.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game will celebrate its 25th anniversary on February 4, 2024. To mark 25 years of dueling, KONAMI will launch a 25th Anniversary project in 2023, including a celebratory product release as well as various other promotions around the world. KONAMI will reveal more details about the 25th Anniversary project in the near future.

Currently, Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG is available worldwide, with products distributed in over 80 countries and in 9 languages, for fans of all ages to enjoy.
