ACQUIRE Corp. today announced the twin-stick shooter game XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2. Scheduled for release cross Nintendo® Switch™, PlayStation®5, and Steam® in fall 2023, XALADIA is the first self-published release from the developers of Tenchu, Way of the Samurai, AKIBA’S TRIP, and the Octopath Traveler series.

About XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2
XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2 is a twin-stick single-player shooter featuring nonscrolling single-screen combat, varied tower construction, covered defenses, and 3D graphics. Players must assume the role of a planetary scout soldier in a terraformed planetary society during a ruthless and destructive space pirate attack. In short, soldiers who don’t cover the screen with a barrage of missiles, lasers, barriers, and bots will be destroyed by the enemy!
XALADIA’s scalable and customizable weapon system sets it apart from other twin shooters. In the first trailer, they introduced the player character, Space Wolf, along with DLC characters Thief Panther and Black Samurai. There is also an appearance of a battle scene against aliens:

In the second trailer, they will reveal the main features of the game, including weapon and attack variations through the placement of various turrets, as well as the appearance of additional boss alien aircraft carriers.
A limited-time XALADIA demo will be available from August 12, 2023, to August 14, 2023, on Steam.
