Speaking with Variety, David Haddad revealed that Warner Bros. Games is “thrilled” with the launch of Hogwarts Legacy and claimed that player engagement has been “spectacular”.

Although Haddad did not provide sales figures for the game, Hogwarts Legacy’s first-week digital sales in Europe were reportedly up 56% compared to Elden Ring.

Player engagement has been spectacular. So far, we’ve tracked over 152 million hours played, 173 million magic plants grown, 115 million potions brewed, and 556 million Dark Wizards defeated.

In the latest figures provided by Warner Bros. Games, it is said that Hogwarts Legacy has recorded 267 million hours played, 393 million magic plants planted, 242 million potions brewed, and 1.25 billion Dark Wizards defeated.

Hogwarts Legacy is already available for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). The PS4 and Xbox One versions will release in April 2023, while the Nintendo Switch version will release in July 2023.
