Streamer Valorant protests against Riot Games
The Valorant Champions Tour LOCK//IN in Sao Paulo, Brazil is the largest LAN event on Valorant’s 2023 competitive year calendar. Furthermore, Riot Games has released the list of Valorant streamers who will be participating in this event. Unfortunately, many of them, especially English-speaking content creators, were surprised by the fact that they were not included in the list.
Valorant itself is one of the biggest Esports games in the world. So, it’s only natural that many content creators from around the world regularly cover Valorant’s competitive tournaments and want to watch VCT LOCK//IN with their communities. However, getting permission is extremely difficult.
Creators like AverageJonas, Subroza, Hiko, and Sean Gares were not included in the list that Riot Games released. This indicates that there are many Valorant streamers who were also left off the list.
Many of these streamers have protested Riot Games’ decision. While this is a global creator list that doesn’t just focus on English-speaking viewers, the Valorant community remains surprised that so many big names were left off the list.
