According to the information available, accounts that have not been active for approximately 2 to 6 years or more will be closed by Ubisoft. However, users will still get an email at least 30 days before account closure.
Furthermore, Ubisoft said that to avoid deletion of the account, users only need to log in and cancel the deletion option. They also explained that accounts that have been deleted cannot be restored.
Of course, this rule caused controversy among fans. The reason is, those who have spent a lot of money and accidentally forgot to log in will certainly feel lost if the account is deleted.
