Ubisoft Discussing Assassin’s Creed Nexus Sequel?

Insider Gaming reports that Ubisoft is internally discussing a sequel to the Assassin’s Creed VR game called Assassin’s Creed Nexus.

According to Insider Gaming, the game was scheduled to be exclusive to Meta Quest’s VR headset. However, in recent weeks, Insider Gaming understands that the deal has been terminated amid ongoing budget cuts at Meta.

Insider Gaming claims that Ubisoft can now publish the game on all the VR platforms it wants, but it most likely won’t happen as the deal was decided during the development cycle.

Ubisoft also anticipates Assassin’s Creed Nexus to work very well as a VR title, with internal discussions having already begun for Assassin’s Creed Nexus 2.

According to Insider Gaming, Assassin’s Creed Nexus is scheduled to release in September 2023 after Assassin’s Creed Mirage and will be announced in June 2023.
