Konami Digital Entertainment Limited has announced SUPER BOMBERMAN R 2 (SBR2), the bomb-bastic party game with the largest amount of gameplay content in the series, will be released for consoles and PC on September 14, 2023.
There are several battle modes in SUPER BOMBERMAN R 2, namely:
- Castle: Fight asymmetrical 1 vs. 15 matches online in this new attack vs. defend battle mode! Defenders will be tasked with creating a map and laying defensive traps to slow down attacks. Various terrain options, wall placement, defense gimmicks, and the help of a new character type called “Ellons” will be available to defenders. Meanwhile, the attacking side must blow up the defense gimmicks to reach all the treasure chests and win the match!
- Battle 64: Be the last player standing in this classic battle royal. This “chaotic” mode will bring together as many as 64 players, but only one can emerge victorious.
- Grand Prix: Compete for crystals and defeat other players. Team battles will be very exciting in this game mode.
- Standard: The beloved classic battle mode from SUPER BOMBERMAN R 1 and SUPER BOMBERMAN ONLINE returns.
New Features
The “Stage Editor” is a new feature that allows players to create their own stages or battle locations and share them online for play in the new Battle Mode, “Castle”. The number of new and different SBR2 stages will be endless to discover and conquer!
SUPER BOMBERMAN R 2 will feature crossplay and release on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S Xbox One, and Steam® for USD 42.49.
