Final Fantasy brand manager Yoshinori Kitase has revealed that Square Enix hopes to release the third game of Final Fantasy VII Remake in 2027.

Square Enix Expects to Release the Third Game of Final Fantasy VII Remake in 2027
@aitaikimochi recently uploaded information found in the book“Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Ultimania” on X.
The book apparently reveals that the main story for the third game of Final Fantasy VII Remake has been completed and creative director Tetsuya Nomura aims to start voice recording “in the near future”.
Interestingly, @aitaikimochi wrote how Yoshinori Kitase hopes that the third game of Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released in 3 years.
“Kitase mentioned Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was developed in 3 years because it took about a year to develop the DLC,” @aitaikimochi wrote on X. “He hopes to follow that schedule for the third game as well.”
If all goes well, the third game will be scheduled for release in 2027. This is perfect timing, considering that 2027 will mark 30 years since Final Fantasy VII launched.
