Naoki Yoshida recently said that Square Enix is considering how to approach Final Fantasy XVI DLC.

“Square Enix Considers Final Fantasy XVI DLC”
Speaking with GamerBraves, Naoki Yoshida was asked if Square Enix has any plans for Final Fantasy XVI DLC.
Yoshida has revealed that the development team’s main goal was to provide an experience that could be enjoyed independently without the need for DLC, but after doing so, he realized the demand for additional content from fans.
As you know, going into Final Fantasy XVI, one thing we wanted was to create a complete story, something that you could enjoy from start to finish 100% without any DLC and I think we were able to do that.
But now we understand that we’re getting feedback from players who have played the game and a lot of players want to see more and we know that and understand that.
For us, we accept that and then think about our options going forward, so hopefully in the near future we can come up with something that we can give you all.
