Konami and Bloober Team have announced that Silent Hill 2 Remake is headed to PC and PS5 with the return of Akira Yamaoka and Masahiro Ito.

Silent Hill 2 Remake for PC and PS5 with Unreal Engine 5
Writing on the PlayStation Blog, Motoi Okamoto revealed that Bloober Team worked closely with the original creators, such as Akira Yamaoka and Masahiro Ito, to ensure that they “kept the unique Silent Hill feel intact”.
Okamoto added that one of the new elements that players can see in their trailer is the implementation of an over-the-shoulder camera. With the changes, Bloober Team and Konami wanted to immerse players deeper into the game, “make them feel like they’re part of this world, and give them a more immersive experience overall.”
With a fresh perspective, Bloober Team plans to rebuild the combat system and certain set pieces. Now that players see what James can see, Bloober Team can find new ways to keep players on edge.
In addition, Konami also confirmed that Silent Hill 2 Remake will be built on Unreal Engine 5.
Silent Hill 2 Remake will be released on PS5 and PC (Steam). This game does not have a release date yet.
