Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Headed to Nintendo’s New Console?
Insider Gaming reports that a leaked image from a GameStop employee reveals pre-orders of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PS4.
As for why the image doesn’t show the Xbox One version, Insider Gaming notes that the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S versions are cross-gen, which means the game will also be playable on Xbox One.
According to Insider Gaming, the Call of Duty franchise has not needed to move from previous generation consoles since its move to Call of Duty HQ.
Interestingly, Insider Gaming also reported that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will release on Nintendo’s new console as part of Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard which will bring Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms for 10 years.
According to Insider Gaming, Activision did not release Call of Duty to the Nintendo Switch because the console’s performance is not strong enough.
A few days ago, Activision has announced that the gameplay and official announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 10, 2024.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will release on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25, 2024.
