A new report has revealed that ATLUS is likely to announce Shin Megami Tensei V: Complete Edition in the near future.

ATLUS to Announce Shin Megami Tensei V: Complete Edition?
Gematsu reports that Diandong Langke Lu Xun, a user on the A9VG forums known for cryptic PlayStation-related leaks, teased the upcoming announcement of Shin Megami Tensei V: Complete Edition in a post on June 16, 2023.
Xun had previously rightly hinted at some announcements such as:
- Release date of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (link).
- Announcement of Hayarigami 1-2-3 Pack (link).
- Release date of “New Game+” for God of War Ragnarök (link).
- Announcement of Monster Hunter Rise PlayStation, Xbox, dan PC (link).
- Release date of trailer “Ambition” dari Final Fantasy XVI (link).
- Date of event announcement Silent Hill Transmission (link).
On June 16, 2023, Xun uploaded a GIF containing the following two frames:
The image itself is from the Shin Megami Tensei Online Live 2021: Ongaku no Kotowari concert held in March 2021. The bottom left corner of the image features a cutout of Stephen Hawking added to the concert stage.
The Shin Megami Tensei franchise has a recurring character named Stephen who is very similar to Hawking and is not present in Shin Megami Tensei V.
The map in the first frame is taken directly from Shin Megami Tensei V. Meanwhile, the red text covering the screen in the second frame also reads “Complete Edition” in Japanese in the style of “Sugu ni Kese” in the original Shin Megami Tensei.
Gematsu also concluded that Xun is known for hiding dates in the dimensions of the images they upload.
The dimensions of the image uploaded on June 16, 2023 are 701×426. July 1, or “701”, is also the start of Anime Expo 2023 along with the “ATLUS / SEGA Presents: Shin Megami Tensei 30th Live: Band of Shadows” concert date.
Although ATLUS has said not to expect any major announcements at the concert, this does not rule out the possibility of an announcement before the concert.
On the other hand, sites such as Universo Nintendo and content creator NateTheHate claim that Nintendo will announce a new Nintendo Direct this week.
It should also be noted that in 2021, Shin Megami Tensei V was part of one of the games that appeared in the leaked NVIDIA GeForce NOW database. Data from Shin Megami Tensei V at launch also found PS4 and PC references.
