A new report has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will likely utilize the Anvil Pipeline.

Is Assassin’s Creed Codename Red Utilize Anvil Pipeline?
Insider Gaming reports that the Assassin’s Creed franchise will use an evolution of their engine named “Anvil Pipeline”.
According to Insider Gaming, Anvil Pipeline allows all studios working on Assassin’s Creed games to work from one unified branch rather than having different versions and branches.
This means that future Assassin’s Creed will benefit visually from ray-traced global illumination and virtual geometry.
Insider Gaming adds that the move to the Anvil Pipeline meant that Ubisoft also had to completely overhaul everything in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, including animations, parkour system, dynamic weather, and more.
Insider Gaming also reported that the combat system in Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is described as slightly similar to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but featuring more gore.
Stealth also plays a major role in Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, similar to Splinter Cell, players will be able to put out torches, hide in tall grass and bushes, and even prone whenever they want.

In addition, Insider Gaming revealed that Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will also get a feature similar to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla called “Hideout”.
In November 2023, Insider Gaming reported that Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will have 2 main protagonists, namely the characters Yasuke (samurai) and Fujibayashi Naoe (assassin). According to Insider Gaming, Naoe and Yasuke were sworn enemies but later became allies in their desire to unify Japan.
In February 2024, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Codename Red would be released in fiscal year 2025 (April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025).
