Similar Logo, Rockstar Games and Remedy Entertainment Choose Reconcile

Back in 2023, Remedy Entertainment, the developer behind Max Payne and Alan Wake, made an important update by changing its official logo for the first time in two decades, replacing the previous logo, which featured a bullet hidden inside the letter “R”, with a completely new design.

As usual, netizens’ responses to the logo update were mixed, with some appreciating the change, others disliking it, and deeming it unnecessary. However, the two developers recently confirmed that they have resolved the issue amicably.

Based on available information, both Remedy Entertainment and Rockstar Games have resolved the issue regarding the logo since last year amicably. They resolved the matter amicably and intend to collaborate on more work in the future.

Nothing to see here – these were discussions between our teams that were fully and amicably resolved late last year. Unfortunately, the settlement took longer than we expected due to some holiday scheduling The legal filings are just an initial formality, and Remedy and Take-Two continue to work together in partnership.

For your information, Rockstar Games publishes Remedy’s Max Payne and the two companies are collaborating on the game’s remake which will be released in a few weeks.

Previously, a recent report by Respawn First, Take-Two is currently taking issue with the developer’s new logo, claiming that there is “possible confusion on the part of the community”. This a statement that most likely stems from the similarity to Rockstar’s logo, which also has the letter “R”. The report further reveals that, at present, the situation is still unresolved, and both logos are still “pending inspection” in the United States.
