SEGA, ATLUS, Perfect World Games, and Black Wings Game Studio revealed that Persona 5: The Phantom X will release on mobile and PC.

Persona 5: The Phantom X Description

Persona 5: The Phantom X is a new title based on the world of Persona 5 and set in Tokyo, and follows the original story surrounding a new group of Phantom Thieves. The basic style and gameplay of the original game have been retained, while the graphics have been enhanced, and the user experience and presentation optimized for mobile users.

This game is focused on the theme of “desire” and tells the story of the students who have awakened to their “Persona”, facing difficulties together in the era of “low desire”. A mysterious old man with a long nose, a strange underwater space, an owl that can speak human language, and another world separated from reality.

Players will assume the role of a student, attending classes during the day and participating in activities such as baseball or watching movies with friends in their free time.

After school, they can all infiltrate other worlds that appear in the form of castles with different themes and use their Persona to engage in fierce battles against enemies.

Development Supervised by SEGA and ATLUS

SEGA and ATLUS’ P-Studio have overseen the development and provided resources, while Perfect World Games and Black Wings Game Studio will develop, distribute and operate Persona 5: The Phantom X.

Although it is based on the world of Persona 5, it was developed as a new game customized to local preferences, trends, and gameplay environments as well. The main character and existing Persona were designed by Shigenori Soejima of the ATLUS art team.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is a free-to-play RPG game with item-based in-app purchases. The game will be released on Android for China, with PC and iOS planned in the future.
