Embracer Group CEO, Lars Wingefors, has revealed that the launch of PAYDAY 3 failed to meet his expectations.

Embracer Group: PAYDAY 3 Launch Fails to Meet Our Expectations
In its Q2 FY 2023 financial report, Embracer Group revealed that PAYDAY 3 had “received mixed reviews from critics and users, and the studio experienced unexpected errors related to its external matchmaking software”.
“Starbreeze is now hard at work with live service plans for the game, including new content releases, as well as quality of life improvements and additional functionality to enhance the player experience. Two new free “heists”, or missions, are planned to launch in the near future.” wrote Embracer Group.
During Embracer Group’s Q2 FY 2023 Q&A session, Lars Wingefors also said something about PAYDAY 3.
“The game had a positive EBIT contribution with investments recouped in the second quarter, but performed below management expectations,” Wingefors said. “Starbreeze is now working hard to improve the player experience.”
