According to a report by FanPiece, Tencent has reportedly closed the Nintendo Switch Official Flagship Store on Tmall due to operational adjustment reasons. For those who don’t know, Tmall is a sales website operated by Alibaba Group.

According to reports, the Nintendo Switch is not selling very well in China. This is because the local government has banned various features on the console as well as the games that can be released.

Furthermore, the previous Switch sales store will permanently close and will not sell the console. However, likely, the console will still be sold by another distributor.

For your information, Tencent has indeed had the right to sell Switch in China since 2019. However, strict censorship from the government forced Tencent to give up distribution of the console.
