A new report reveals that The Last of Us Part II is likely to get a new, enhanced version by Naughty Dog.

This information was revealed by Gustavo Santaolalla during an interview with Blender. If you’re interested in Naughty Dog games, you can check out our other articles here.

New Version of The Last of Us Part II in Development?

Speaking with Blender, Gustavo Santaolalla teased that his cameo appearance in The Last of Us Part II will be expanded in the “new edition” of the game.

In the new edition, you can make me play certain themes and well, I can’t tell you anything else.

Gustavo Santaolalla

Santaolalla originally appeared in The Last of Us Part II as Gustavo, a Cordyceps infection survivor living in Jackson.

This little cameo, in which Santaolalla plays the banjo, looks set to be expanded in the latest version of The Last of Us Part II, with Santaolalla hinting that players will be able to make Gustavo play songs from the game’s soundtrack.

It’s possible that The Last of Us Part II will come to PC just like The Last of Us Part I, although so far the game has only been on PS4, so a PS5 version might be coming too.
