NetEase Games Acquires Minority Share of Rebel Wolves
Rebel Wolves, a Polish studio founded by former CD Projekt Red developers in February 2022, has secured a strategic investment from NetEase Games.
In addition, NetEase Games acquired a minority stake in the studio. Rebel Wolves will remain operationally independent and retain full creative control and ownership of its intellectual property.
Rebel Wolves is currently developing a dark fantasy RPG with a focus on storytelling and accommodating player choice.
We are thrilled to welcome NetEase Games as our new shareholder and partner. Having one of the leading global gaming companies get behind our vision is a huge confidence boost and validation for the entire team at Rebel Wolves.
The funding provided by NetEase was the last missing piece needed to go full speed ahead. With the resources available to build a world-class AAA game, we can now focus on what matters most: development.
