Neil Druckmann has revealed that Naughty Dog is done with the Uncharted franchise.

Neil Druckmann: Naughty Dog is done with Uncharted
Speaking with BuzzFeed, Neil Druckmann revealed that Naughty Dog has moved on from the Uncharted franchise and could do the same with The Last of Us, should they decide not to go ahead with a sequel.
Beyond that, I know there are a lot of people wondering about The Last of Us Part 3 and whether or not it will exist. All I can say is, at Naughty Dog, we’re very, very lucky that our publisher is Sony – which means Sony funds our games, supports us, and we’re owned by Sony. They’ve supported us every step of the way to follow our passion – which means that just because something is successful, people think that there’s pressure and we have to make a sequel. That’s not the case. For us, Uncharted was very successful – Uncharted 4 is one of our best-selling games – and we can put the last brushstroke on that story and say that we’re done. We’re going to keep going.
So with The Last of Us, it’s up to us whether we want to continue with it or not. The process we’re going through is the same as we did when working on Part 2, which is if we can come up with a compelling story that has a universal message and statement about love – like the first and second games did – then we’ll tell that story. If we can’t come up with something, we had a very strong ending with Part 2 and that will be the end.

In April 2021, Druckmann said that the story outline for the third game of The Last of Us franchise was already written, but they were not currently developing it.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Neil Druckmann was asked whether the rumored The Last of Us Part III is coming. He replied: “I think there are more stories to tell.”
