Naoki Yoshida Caught Playing Tears of the Kingdom While Livestreaming Final Fantasy XIV
During the break ahead of the Final Fantasy XIV livestream, a regular event where Naoki Yoshida and Toshio Murouchi talk about new additions and updates to the game, Yoshida was seen playing a game on the Nintendo Switch.
Of course, fans assumed that she was playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Yoshida also seems to notice and directs his attention to the camera, then rotates his Nintendo Switch to reveal that he is playing it on a Nintendo Switch OLED themed to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Interestingly, this livestream was enough to make the hashtag “吉田ゼルダ” or “Yoshida Zelda” trend on Japanese Twitter.
It’s very common for developers to play other games to get inspiration for their projects. With Yoshida busy working on Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XIV, it’s no surprise that he wanted to play the game in between.
