My Hero Academia Gets a Live-Action Adaptation from Netflix

The Hollywood Reporter and Variety have reported that the live-action adaptation of My Hero Academia will appear on Netflix. It is still unknown when exactly the film will be available on the streaming service.

The live-action My Hero Academia is still in development and there isn’t even a cast list yet. Legendary Entertainment’s Mary Parent and Alex Garcia will produce it.

So far, there are several line-ups of employees working on the live-action My Hero Academia movie. Shinsuke Sato will be the director and executive producer, where he previously worked on Alice in Borderland. Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Joby Harold will be working on the screenplay.

My Hero Academia is one of the latest franchises to appear in a live-action format. In just 2022, we have seen several film companies working on live-action versions of Yu Yu Hakusho, Death Note, and Golden Kamuy.
