Epic Games Plans More Exclusive Games on the Epic Games Store
Speaking with PC Gamer, Tim Sweeney stated that players can expect to see even more Epic Games Store-exclusive games in the future.
We honed our strategy based on what we observed worked well at previous launches, and what didn’t work so well. Some of the major exclusives managed to turn things around… and the smaller games, especially the games that have a smaller audience that are typically on Steam, we found that a lot of players were not willing to switch.

One of the Epic Games Store’s biggest exclusives is Borderlands 3, which is said to have “shattered” expectations. That statement was spelled out by Epic Games Store general manager Steve Allison.
In addition to outstanding deals for third-party exclusive games, Epic Games is also funding game development as part of Epic Games Publishing announced in 2020. Upcoming games from this label are Alan Wake II along with new projects from Playdead and genDESIGN.
