Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Earns 800 Million USD
Activision has announced that worldwide sales for the first 3 days of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II earn 800 million USD. This is more than the previous record holder, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which managed to do so in 5 days.
According to Activision, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is now the game with the biggest opening weekend in the history of the Call of Duty franchise and even surpassed the opening of the 2 most successful movies of 2022.
Citing figures from Box Office Mojo, Activision has claimed that the game outperformed the opening of Top Gun: Maverick and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness combined.
