The option to use the “family sharing” function on Steam for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has been disabled. Based on information from SteamDB, the update was made on 31 October 2022.

Steam’s “family sharing” feature allows players to share their Steam games with loved ones. This feature will also support players by saving their achievements and saves on the Steam Cloud.

It’s still unclear why this feature was suddenly disabled from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, but speculation is that Activision is fighting cheaters who abuse this feature.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II can be played on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam, Battle.net).
