Does Konami’s employee try to kill his former boss, why?

Livedoor recently reported that Japanese police have arrested a Konami employee for trying to kill a former boss with a fire extinguisher.

According to Livedoor, he used a fire extinguisher and hit the victim on the head and the police arrested the perpetrator on the spot. After interrogating the perpetrator, the police charged him with attempted murder.

According to the perpetrator, his boss had used his higher position at Konami to harass him and thus he had hit his former boss with the intent to kill. Power harassment can include superiors using their authority in a way that could be perceived as bullying. The perpetrator did not give any specific examples of power abuse.

Although the perpetrator had gone to Konami HR when they were on the same team to report him for power harassment, Konami stated that power harassment did not occur. Konami resolved this issue in 2020 by transferring the perpetrator to another team.
