Konami and WayForward have announced that Contra: Operation Galuga will be released on consoles and PC in early 2024.

A new game in the legendary Contra franchise is here! Contra: Operation Galuga is a complete re-imagining of the classic run-‘n’-gun action game from the 80s, featuring modern graphics and sound, new stages, new enemies and bosses, new game mechanics, an updated weapon system, and explosive co-op combat for up to two players in Story Mode or four players in Arcade Mode!
When the terrorist group Red Falcon takes over the Galuga Islands off the coast of New Zealand, Contra’s elite commandos Bill Rizer and Lance Bean spring into action, starting an all-out war where the fate of humanity hangs in the balance!
Run, jump and shoot your way through eight levels using powerful weaponry – including spread fire, lasers and homing missiles – now with stackable upgrades and the awesome Overload ability!
The intense action can be customized with three difficulty settings plus a variety of additional challenge options. Contra’s true legacy begins now!
