Square Enix has announced that Kenshi Yonezu will be performing the theme music “Tsuki Wo Miteita – Moongazing” for Final Fantasy XVI.
Words cannot express the impact Final Fantasy has had on my life. I never thought or imagined that I would receive an opportunity like this. I wrote this song, specifically for this game. Thank you.

When I learned that we would be able to work with Yonezu, I was not only surprised, but also very excited. I am a huge fan of Yonezu’s work and I know that he has a passion for creating music that resonates with multiple generations, so I am confident that he will be able to capture the world, story, and themes of Final Fantasy XVI. He is not only an amazing artist, but also an avid gamer and Final Fantasy fan, so stay tuned to hear his theme song!

Square Enix also unveiled new gameplay of Final Fantasy XVI via a State of Play broadcast that revealed more details regarding game elements and the impressive Eikon battle that players can look forward to.
