Hackers Leaked 1.3 Million Insomniac Games Documents, Including Future Game Release Schedules

Rhysida, the hacker who broke into Insomniac Games, released around 1.3 million internal document files after Sony Interactive Entertainment refused to meet her demands.

Hackers Leak 1.3 Million Insomniac Games Documents

Cyber Daily reports that Rhysida has released 1.67 TB of data, consisting of over 1.3 million files, containing various videos and images from Marvel’s Wolverine, personal information of employees, estimated sales of PlayStation Studios’ overall games (console and PC), and contracts signed by Marvel and Sony Interactive Entertainment for future projects.

The release schedule of Insomniac Games’ games until the end of 2033 was also leaked along with the estimated development budget. This leaked document is rumored to include a bootable PC version of Marvel’s Wolverine.

When news of the breach broke, Sony Interactive Entertainment said that they had launched an investigation. As of this writing, neither Sony Interactive Entertainment nor Insomniac Games have commented on the leaked documents.

In addition, Cyber Daily also published a statement from Rhysida’s spokesperson:

Yes, we knew who we were attacking. We knew that developers making games like this would be easy targets. We managed to get the domain administrator within 20-25 minutes of hacking the network. Sony has launched an investigation, but it would be better if it was done in the backyard.

A slide revealed a list of upcoming Insomniac Games games, such as Marvel’s Venom (2025), Marvel’s Wolverine (2026), Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 (2028), the new Ratchet & Clank (2029), Marvel’s X-Men (2030), and new IPs in 2031-2032.

Another slide shows an advanced release schedule that includes several X-Men games and a second new IP in 2035. Another slide also details Insomniac Games’ multiplayer ambitions, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Online (2024), Marvel’s Wolverine Online (2026), and Marvel’s X-Men Online (2028).

The terms of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Marvel’s X-Men game license list $120 million as the development budget for each X-Men game, with $30 million for marketing. All X-Men games will be released until 2035, with PlayStation and PC as the platforms.
