New reports have revealed that Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to release in 2024.

GTA 6 Scheduled to Release in 2024?
Tez2 has claimed on GTA Forums that Grand Theft Auto VI is likely to be announced in 2023 with an internal release date currently slated for 2024. Insider Gaming corroborated this claim in its separate report.
Insider Gaming reported that Grand Theft Auto VI was already targeted for release in 2024, but speculation and looking at the past history of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 suggests that the game could be delayed until 2025.
Insider Gaming also claims that one of the main reasons for this continued “delay” is that Grand Theft Auto VI will only release on current generation consoles. This means that Grand Theft Auto VI will release on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series, and PC.
With 2024 already planned by Rockstar Games since 2021, this is a way to ensure that Grand Theft Auto VI will have a sufficient console market at its release.
