Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital have announced that sales of the Gran Turismo franchise have surpassed 90 million copies worldwide.

Gran Turismo Franchise Sales Top 90 Million Copies
A message from Polyphony Digital president and Gran Turismo creator, Kazunori Yamauchi, stated that the Gran Turismo franchise had reached 90 million copies on 16 November 2022.
In the past 25 years, the total cumulative sales of the [Grand Turismo] franchise have reached more than 90 million copies as of 16 November 2022. This result is something that we could not have achieved on our own.
Behind that 90 million figure, there are all the people from the media who convey the allure of Gran Turismo to their readers. There are the PlayStation people who sell Gran Turismo for us around the world with passion and there’s the incredible support of the retailers who interact with our users.

The latest sequel in the Gran Turismo franchise, Gran Turismo 7, is already available on PS5 and PS4.
“The likelihood of a PC version of Gran Turismo is not zero”
Speaking with Dengeki Online, Yamauchi revealed that the possibility of a PC version of the Grand Turismo franchise is actually “not zero”.

In November 2022, Kazunori Yamauchi was asked by GT Planet if a PC version of Gran Turismo 7 would be something he would consider.
According to him, Polyphony Digital is “looking at and considering” a PC port of the game, but the process of doing so will not be an easy one.
